Welcome to Firehouse-Funding.com Do you need financing for a new fire truck, used fire truck, equipment, or a new firehouse, or to remodel and/or expand your existing firehouse? Tax-exempt leases are like low interest loan in many ways, except they do not count as debt.
New apparatus is being made bigger and heavier, thus many aging fire stations cannot house the new fire trucks in their bays. This is certainly true of quints, pumpers and tankers. Many quints now are coming with ladders over 100 feet and with tanks up to 500 gallons. Pumpers are coming with 2000 gpm pumps and 1250 to 1500 gallons or more tanks. The height, length, width and weight of these are more than many older firehouses can bear. Thus, if you are going to upgrade your apparatus to meet NFPA standards, you may need to upgrade and/or rebuild your fire station first. Building your new firehouse after you purchased your new fire truck is not something you wish to have to do, nor do you wish to go to your community or have it in the newspaper that you overlooked this little size detail. Building a new firehouse is not something you can do immediately. The same is true for arranging the financing. You will need to get permits, environmental impact studies, public relations with the community (who may be those asked to pay for it) and public meeting for a wide range of reasons. We suggest you contact us today, so that we can help you to choose your fire station design, contractor and to have the environmental impact study completed. The financing paperwork and process also is time consuming, requiring as early of a start as may be possible.
